DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT (Miscellaneous Steel, Panels, Windows, etc.)
This job involved changing the bearings on the AOD along with repairing the base. The trunion ring with bogie drives and bearings had to be rigged out in one piece (120-ton). Once out, the assembly had to be cribbed securely to perform the work. Inspection revealed wear to the bogie drives that necessitated replacement of the drives.
