O'NEILL P.E ESTABLISHED : 1983 NARRATIVE : Century Steel Erectors performs the majority of its project operations in the tri-state area, with the main office and yard located in Dravosburg (south of Pittsburgh) and a branch office in Kittanning, Pa (north of Pittsburgh). Century Steel has completed thousands of projects, large and small, safely, efficiently and under budget. When asked, Century Steel Erectors can provide Contracting Services direct to an owner, however, it often provides services to, or in joint venture with a steel fabricator. Century Steel has provided outstanding and excellent services locally to projects such as Heinz Field (the Pittsburgh Steelers Stadium), PNC Park (home of the Pittsburgh Pirates), Alcoa Business Service Center, North Shore Parking Garage, Duquesne University and the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh complex. Century Steel has also been involved in many steel erection and pre-cast concrete projects North and East of Pittsburgh. These projects include many of the new buildings on the main campus of Penn State University, the Milton Hershey School and the Hershey Intermodal Parking Garage in Hershey. Also, the Harrisburg International Airport and the Liz Claiborne Eastern Distribution Center in Mount Pocono, PA. as well as the new building for the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, Pa. Other commercial type work includes single story and high rise structures, shopping malls, hospitals, schools, churches, universities, correctional institutions and warehouse distribution centers. Industrial sites include new and renovation work in the steel, automotive, chemical and power industries. Transportation projects include both new and maintenance work in airports and on bridges, including bridge demolition. Installation of metal deck, shear studs and miscellaneous and ornamental steel. Bridge erection/repair and maintenance. Plant/facility maintenance, machinery and equipment setting, heavy rigging, plant relocation, blast furnace reconstruction, barge unloader rehabilitation and renovation, demolition and dismantling services. MORE SERVICES : Crane Rental: Both hydraulic & lattice boom, truck & crawler, from 15 ton to 300 ton capacity. Heavy Hauling: A subsidiary company, Century Heavy Hauling provides heavy hauling services for both the industrial and heavy highway industries.
